The West Tennessee Farmers Market is a great place to get fresh produce and food. You can find fresh fruit and vegetables, and ranchers sell local meats such as beef and lamb. The market is held Tuesday through Saturday in Downtown Jackson. You can find something almost year-round!

Some of the vendors you might see are H & H Dairy, Sunset Valley Farm, and many more! They regularly have local food trucks including Coyote Blues, Cock-A-Doodle Dough Craft Donuts, and Owl’s Nest Food Truck.

Old Hickory Mall

Old Hickory Mall is an indoor shopping center in Northwest Jackson. The mall has almost 30 businesses and is anchored by Macy’s, Belk, and JCPenny. Some of the shopping options are Abercrombie & Fitch, Aeropostale, Lids, and Victoria’s Secret.

If mallgoers get hungry, they can visit one of the dining options including Chick-fil-A and Peking Express. Old Hickory Mall is a great one-stop shop for everyone! The mall was built in 1967 and renovated in 2003-2005. The mall is on N. Highland Avenue and has plenty of parking.

Tennessee Safari Park

Tennessee Safari Park is a drive-through zoo experience located in in Alamo, TN. You slowly drive through the zoo in your car and the animals walk over to the car to eat from your feed cups. You might see antelopes, ostrich, llamas, and zebras during your safari drive. The zoo has over 1,000 animals and 100 different species!

It also has a separate petting zoo and giraffe feeding station. The family-owned safari park was opened in 2007. Dogs are not allowed in the park to ensure the safety of the animals and guests. The park is cash only.
